Project Description
Choreographer: Jermaine Just created a piece for the Somaly Mam foundation. The foundation helps rescue women and Girls from Sex trafficking. The benefit was held at The Box in NY. He used 5 Female Dancers to represent 5 survivors. In the Piece the women released their pain through dance, hand made scarfs that are made by the survivors were incorporated in the dance, which brought chills and was emotionally moving. Jermaine work was Highly received by the Guess and the founder herself Somaly Mam, who was sold in to slavery herself at the age of 5 the by a unknown man pretending to be her grandfather.
